After DevOpsDays Raleigh 2017 I was going to dinner with friends. Along the way the topic of what’s up next came up. I mentioned I had a talk coming up at All Things Open but had no idea what I was going to discuss. We began batting ideas around and came up with a few good ones. On Tuesday, May 23, 2017, I did a DevOps talk at Open Source South Carolina. The talk was a DevOps 101-styled deep dive into DevOps. Since the number one question I get when talking about DevOps, in general, is “where do I start?” I added my “The Three Things” to the already well known “Three Ways”. This provided both the holistic view while guiding people needed an extra nudge down the DevOps path....

I was invited to speak at DevOpsDays Detroit 2016. I had a fantastic time speaking with the crowd in Detroit. This talk was my first foray into the talk world. I went long and could probably optimize the content of the slides (less words).
